Breaking it down
Residential Curbside Pickup

Service starting in August, 2025
How it works
Step 1: Signup for our weekly or every-other-week pickup service.
Step 2: We drop off your welcome package on your next service day (if Tuesday is your day, then it would be the very next Tuesday). You’ll receive a 5-gallon, sealable bucket which is lined with a compostable bag.
Step 3: Fill your bucket with food waste throughout the week. We accept almost all scraps, but you can see the specifics here.
Step 4: Leave your sealed bucket by your front door on pickup day.
Step 5: We’ll weigh, inspect, and collect your scraps. Once that’s taken care of we reline your bucket with a new compostable bag and leave the empty bucket where we found it.
Step 6: Start filling your bucket again and we’ll be back around on your next pickup day.

What you get
No matter which subscription you choose, you get:
- Your personalized customer portal to manage your subscription and see metrics on how much compost you’ve created and the effects that has on our environment.
- Finished compost delivered to your door twice a year (spring and fall, 10 gallons per delivery).
- A cleaner smelling kitchen.
- Less pests digging through your trash.
- The peace of mind knowing you’re doing your part to reduce your household’s carbon footprint and helping to restore our local soil!
What goes in the bucket
At Compost Junction we know composting is harder than it looks! That’s why all our collected food waste is taken to Delta Compost for processing. They have an incredible team and facility, so they can take a lot more than your backyard composter might!
