The ingredients to our success

It takes a village
Like creating good compost, it takes a lot of different ingredients to create a healthy, sustainable ecosystem. This page is dedicated to highlighting our partners who have a shared goal of reducing Grand Junction’s waste and serving our community’s sustainability needs.
Delta Compost

Compost Junction wouldn’t exist without Delta Compost, our processing partner and the recipient of Compost Junction food scraps. They have an incredible team and are capable of composting a staggering range and quantity of material. They have a Class 3 facility (the highest you can get in Colorado) and their compost is STA certified.
When you get your finished compost back (twice a year), it’s coming from Delta Compost. If you’re interested in how your compost is made, you should check out their site at https://deltacompost.com.
New Way Refillery

New Way Refillery helps limit consumption of packaging materials that end up in the landfill. They offer a wide selection of refillable personal care and home cleaning products, making it easy and accessible to reduce single-plastic waste.
New Way has partnered with us to offer Compost Junction subscribers a discount on counter top compost bins. The stainless steel countertop bins come with a charcoal filter to keep food odor out. Additionally, users have said it makes disposing of scraps easier while cooking and reduces tears on the compostable bag in your bucket.

Trail Life Brewing

Did you know Trail Life Brewing composts their food waste with Compost Junction? Well, they do—and they deserve a big shout-out for it.
Trail Life’s mission to create a comfortable, inspiring space that values and protects the outdoors and builds compassion for the Grand Junction community doesn’t stop with great food and drinks. Behind the scenes, they’re putting those values into action by composting hundreds of pounds of food waste each week.
By diverting food scraps from the landfill, Trail Life helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supports a more sustainable environment for future generations.
So go grab a beer and a bite at TLB—and feel good supporting a local business that’s lifting a glass to sustainability.
